Anton Vladimirovich Kartashev (1875 1960) was a theologian, historian of the Russian Church, and a church and public figure. In 1919, he left Russia, becoming an active figure in the Russian emigration. In 1956, one of his major works on the history of the Russian Orthodox Church was published in Paris — the book 'Recreation of Holy Rus'.
