D. Chizhevsky. Recklinghausen, 1960.] - 105 p.: ill .; 18x17.5 cm.
In publisher's full buckram binding and illustrated dust jacket. In good condition. Tears to the edges and wear to the dust jacket. Stamp of the Burliuk Gallery: 'Burliuk gallery Marussia Burliuk' on the free endpaper, below the dedication of David and Maria Burliuk on the free endpaper in the hand of D. Burlшuk: 'November 29, 1961. To dear sweet Vyacheslav, Marianne, Lyudmila, Vladimir - Olya. This wonderful dear book to us. David Marussia Burliuk'.
The recipients of the autograph are members of D. Burliuk's family: his sisters Lyudmila Kuznetsova-Burliuk and Marianna Fiala, Marianna's husband Vyacheslav (Vaclav) Fiala, their son Vladimir Fiala, and Vladimir's wife Olga. The copy was handed over in Prague in June 1962, presumably during the visit of the Burliuk couple to relatives as part of their round-the-world trip in 1961-1962. This meeting was the last for the Burliuk family; after 1962, David Davidovich did not return to Prague.
Most likely, this copy of the book ended up in the library of I.S. Zilberstein through Vladimir Fiala, D. Burliuk's nephew
Provenance: from the collection of literary scholar and collector Ilya Samoilovich Zilberstein (1905-1988).
