Pyotr Ivanovich Petrovichev is a renowned landscape painter. He received his training at the Rostov Museum of Church Antiquities, where he renovated icons (1888-1891). Under the patronage of V. В. Vereshchagin he enrolled in the painting department of the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture.
