LA VALLÉE CAGE-SHAPED OFFICER’S CLOCK IN GILDED BRONZE AND LAPIS-LAZULI, SWITZERLAND, 20TH CENTURY

The cornice is supported by four columns with Corinthian capitals resting on a molded base. The front adorned with a plate fi nely engraved with acanthus scrolls and the number «56» features a cartouche bearing the inscription «La Vallée» and four dials, with a white enamel background. The central dial shows the hours in Roman numerals and minutes in Arabic numerals. The three smaller dials indicate the weekly days, months and the dates of the months. H. 18.5 cm L. 11.5 cm P. 10 cm
