South-West of Russia, the second half of the XIX century Oil on canvas 61X50 cm Condition: multiple tinting, the canvas is cropped at the edges. The iconographer conveyed more warmth of the divine image of the Mother of God through a sense and understanding of «folk» iconography, although his desire to follow the «academic» styles in the icon is also evident.
