Very rare and superb work, appreciated for its intricate iconography,
drawn from life, and well reproduced intaglio, announcing
more than 320 engravings intaglio, including: the cover, portrait
of the author, large vignette engraved at the dedication, 3 folding
maps, more than 260 engravings divided amongst 115 plates including
double and folding pages, 42 large vignettes in the texts
(types, scenes, ships, costumes, ceremonies, natural history, views
of cities or specific paces, etc). Amongst the main folding plates,
the views of Moscow, Persepolis, Ispahan are highly appreciable.
