[late XVII-early XVIII cc.]. - [8] p.; 21,5x18,5 cm. Golden edge. The top field of the pages is
cut off. With the owner’s inscription in pencil: «The fable of N. F. Emin, autograph from the
library of Troshchinsky» on the lower field of the first page.
The fable was written in 1786 and was distributed in manuscript, and for some time was
attributed to G.R. Derzhavin. It was published for the first time in 1801 in the magazine «Pravdolyubets
», then later in Vol. IX.of Derzhavin’s Works.
Nikolai Fyodorovich Emin (1767-1814) was a Russian writer, official person and administrator.
He served in the Olonets Viceroyalty of the city of Petrozavodsk, which was headed by
G.R. Derzhavin.
