JEWELLED SILVER-GILT KOVSH WITH WITH CABOCHON SAPPHIRES AND EMERALDS, WITH A PEACOCK-SHAPED HANDLE Supplier of the Imperial court C. Faberge, Russia, Moscow, 1899-1908.
Silver-gilt, cast, engraved, chased, mounted, cabochon sapphires and emeralds. The peacock’s eyes and tail are encrusted with precious cabochon cut stones: 6 sapphires and 6 emeralds adorn the bird’s tail, with rubies in the eyes. The bird’s beak bears a pendant in the form of an Easter egg made of precious stones. Hallmarks: silver mark 88 (zolotnik) with a «female profile facing to the left « and the initials of the assay master I. Lebedkin «IL», the company «C. FABERGE» under a double- headed eagle.
