Count Valentin Platonovich Musin-Pushkin (1735 - 1804) - Russian military and statesman, field marshal general. He was appointed to occupy the post with the Grand Duke Paul Petrovich, and earned his goodwill despite enjoying the confidence of Catherine II. Received the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle on June 28 1786 and was appointed vice president of the Military Collegium, and in 1787 assigned to the Council of the Empress.
