French infantry soldier's Sabre model AN XI year (1802-1803). Overall length - 73.5 cm; blade length - 59 cm; blade width at the heel - 3.6 cm. The steel blade is single-edged, curved, without lobes and with a wedge-shaped section. Hallmarks of quality: "L" in an oval, "B" in an oval, "B" under the star in an oval, on the heel of the blade. Inscription scratched on the spine “Manuf-re Imp du Klingentahl Juin 18 ..”. Brass hilt, consists of a handle with transverse grooves and a strap on the back, which passes into the oval head. 3 etched marks on the shackle, poorly visible, the number “784” and “B” in an oval are pictured on the cross.The leather sheath is black, with a brass device consisting of an mouth (the brace is lost) and the tip.
