The image of the highly venerated saint is set within a bronze folding icon (skladen). Saint Olga was the first ruler of Kievskaya Rus to embrace Christianity. She is venerated by the Orthodox Church as the Enlightener of the pagans, a preacher of the Christian faith, and the founder of churches and monasteries.
