Published to mark the 60th anniversary of the founding of the first scout organization in Russia. The volume contains numerous archival photographs. The National Organization of Russian Scouts (NORS) was a non-political youth association founded in 1920 to unite Russian scout groups abroad. Following persecution of scouting in Soviet Russia beginning in 1920, and its official prohibition in 1923, scouting activity continued only outside the USSR.
