The image of the Holy Face of Christ is flanked by Saints martyrs Cyricus and Julitta, George, Bogolep of Chorny Yar and Eudokia. Saint Bogolep was a young monk who lived in the 17th century, died at the age of 7 and was canonized in the early 20th century. In this icon, he is depicted as an adult monk, which is a mystery and an iconographic rarity.
