wood, gesso, silver leaf, tempera 53.2 x 43.5 cm Condition: multiple retouches on the painting of the ‘facial’ part and clothes, halos and leaf background ‘stained’ with bronze paint. Composition of the icon is performed in traditions of Russian iconography with two events united in center into one scene, supplemented by images of The Twelve Great Feasts, the twelve most important feasts in Orthodoxy, placed into separate stamps.
