signed in Cyrillic and dated ‘T. Skvorikova 1924’ (lower right), inscribed in Cyrillic (lower left) ink on paper 16 x 15.7 cm executed in 1924 Skovrikova Tatyana Mikhailovna was a graphic artist. She studied at the Krasnodar Engineering and Construction Institute, the Kuban Polytechnic Institute, and the Leningrad Academy of Arts in the graphics department (1923-1924). Her works mainly consist of genre compositions and portraits. In 1926, she created ‘Double Portrait,’ inspired by the fate of Anna Akhmatova and Nikolai Gumilev. Her works are kept in museums and private collections in Russia and abroad.
