241, [3] pp., 1 frontispiece (portrait); 18.5x14.3 cm. In a publisher’s typographic cover by an artist with the monogram “B.G.”. In good condition. Minor stains and scuffs on the cover, creases on the corners of the cover, a crack in the block, minor smudges on the spine. Memoirs of Jewish public figure and lawyer Yakov Lvovich Teitel (1850-1939). The publication includes memories from before the start of World War I. A second part was planned, in which the author wanted to include stories about his stay in London at the height of the war, the February Revolution, the October Revolution, etc., but the memories were never published.
