Tkhorzhevsky.” Ivan Ivanovich Tkhorzhevsky (1878-1951) was a poet, master of literary translation, literary scholar, public and political figure, actual state councilor, and chamberlain. He was one of the closest associates of Witte and Pyotr Stolypin. In December 1920, he emigrated to Paris. He contributed to the newspapers Vozrozhdenie and Rossiya, and the magazines Illustrated Russia, Theater and Life, Chasovoy, and others. In 1922, he was initiated into Freemasonry in the Russian Parisian lodge Astrea No. 500 of the Grand Lodge of France. He was then one of the founders of the Russian lodges Hermes No. 558 (1924) and Jupiter No. 536 (1926).
