Fernand Mourlot (1895-1988)
A master French lithographic printer, he took over the artistic direction of the family workshop after the First World War. He played a key role in the revival of lithography as an art form in its own right.
The exhibition organised in 1978 at the Palais des Papes in Avignon presented a retrospective of fifty years of lithographic printing by the Mourlot workshops, highlighting collaborations with major artists of the 20th century.
Pierre Cabanne (1921-2007)
A French historian and art critic, he made his mark on the art world through his numerous publications and contributions to various journals and media outlets.
