A general cookery book with sections on left-over dishes and various diets. Ildéfonse-Léon Brisse (1807-1876), known as Baron Brisse, was a notable celebrity of the Second Empire and a good friend of Alexandre Dumas. He wrote on food for Le Figaro and La Liberte.
