The inscription ‘Kazanskaya Mother of God’ on the oklad instead of ‘Korsunskaya’ is a mistake, and the Bogolyubskaya Mother of God is not mentioned: presumably, this happened when the oklad was made for the previously existing icon; the edges of the board were added, and the icon was restored. The silver oklad, decorated with a variety of floral ornament, characteristic motifs of ‘traditional’ Russian decoration, has significant artistic value.
