porcelain, polychromatic overglaze painting Mark: underglaze green mark in Cyrillic ‘NII’ [Nicholas II] under a crown and date – 1910, hand painted blue overglaze marks: hammer, sickle, cog, and a year – 1921 D. 23.5 cm The plate commemorates the fourth anniversary of the October Revolution. The slogan reads: ‘Proletariat of all the world, unite!’ We would like to thank Vladimir Levshenkov, specially invited porcelain expert, for his assistance in cataloguing this lot.
