Good condition. 2) Typed letter signed, addressed to Jean Toulout Paris, 6 July 1945. L'Herbier is sorry but the cast is complete for the film he is making and there "was no valid role" for him. He was also a precursor and fierce defender of the notion of author in cinema. Jean Toulout (1887-1962) was a French actor who had both a theatrical and a film career.
