Vasily Alekseevich Maklakov (1869-1957) was a lawyer, socio-political activist, one of the leaders of the Cadet Party, and a Mason. He was considered one of the best lawyers of his time, participating in major legal proceedings in pre-revolutionary Russia, including the 'Beilis Case.'
