Rubbing on the spine, small tear on the front cover along the spine (Vol. 1), stain, traces of moisture on the front cover and first pages of the block (Vol. 1), traces of moisture on the top margin of the last pages of the block (Vol. 4), foxing on the covers, label of a print publication store in Kowloon (Hong Kong) on the back cover. The edition contains a rich illustrative material: photographs by the court photographer Yagelskiy (Gan and Co.), maps and battle plans, pictures of troop reviews, photographs from the front lines, portraits of members of the imperial family, Emperor Nicholas II, representatives of the General Staff. It is a valuable source for the history of the First World War. Dmitry Nikolaevich Dubensky (1857-1923) - Russian major general, military writer, and publisher. During the First World War, he published the illustrated journal 'Chronicle of the War 1914-1917.' The complete set is rare.
