René Withofs, Belgium; Private collection, Monaco Guillermo Roux (1929–2021) was an Argentine artist renowned for his watercolors, collages, and frescoes. He briefly lived in New York City from 1966 until 1967, working as an illustrator and painter before returning to Buenos Aires. His artistic career was marked by extensive travels and exhibitions in major cities like Berlin, London, Paris, and Munich. Roux gained international acclaim in 1975 with a prize at the XIII São Paulo Art Biennial and received numerous honors, including Argentina's prestigious Konex Award in 1982. His work remains a cornerstone of 20th-century Argentine art.
