42.5 x 52.5cm, 19.5 x 12 cm Neil Armstrong was an American astronaut and aeronautical engineer who became the first person to walk on the moon in 1969. He was also a naval aviator, test pilot and university professor. After serving in the Korean War and then finishing college, he joined the organization that would become NASA. Armstrong entered the astronaut program in 1962. He was spacecraft commander for Apollo 11, the first manned lunar misión. And at the age of 38, he became the first man to walk on the moon.
