In a "blind" owner's leather binding. In very good condition. Paper ex-libris "Ex Libris Martin Winkler" on the front endpaper. Provenance: from the collection of Martin Winkler (1893-1982), a German scholar of Slavic studies and an expert in the history and culture of the Russian North. During his multiple trips to Russia, he assembled a valuable Russian library. The engraving for the ex-libris of M. Winkler was created by the artist A.I. Kravchenko. The edition contains letters written by members of the Imperial Family from captivity, following their arrest on March 8, 1917.
