"Russkii sbornik" [Russian Anthology] was the first publishing project of the first charitable association of Russian emigrants - the Committee for the Assistance of Russian Writers and Scholars. It was one of the earliest post-revolutionary Russian literary collections abroad and was relatively unknown at the time due to its small print run and high price. The collection includes prose and poetry by writers and poets of the Silver Age: I.A. Bunin, A.I. Kuprin, I.S. Shmelev, D.S. Merezhkovsky, A.N. Tolstoy, M.A. Aldanov, L. Andreev, Z. Gippius, N. Teffi, A. Cherny, and others. Many of these works are dedicated to the events of the October Revolution, Bolshevik terror, and the hardships of emigration.
