OLGA ROMANOVA (1882-1960) The interior of the artist's house near Copenhagen

signed 'Olga' (lower right) watercolor on paper 42.4 х 54.6 cm Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna was the youngest daughter of the Russian Emperor Alexander III and Empress Maria Feodorovna (nee Princess Dagmar of Denmark). In the Imperial family, all the children studied painting, but soon Olga began to do it professionally. Her teachers were professors of the St Petersburg Academy and, in particular, V. Makovsky, S. Zhukovsky, S. Vinogradov.
