The edition recounts life in Russia during the first five years of Soviet power, the Red Terror, the work of the Cheka, famine, and other aspects of life in the Soviet Union. It contains numerous artistic illustrations and rare documentary photographs. 'This book consists of eight issues covering the history of the Russian revolution from the 1880s to 1922. The book is a collection of articles [historical, economic, political] that attempt to objectively illuminate the events that took place in Russia over almost half a century' (Seslavinsky M. Randevu.
