Written in English. He thanks the Representative for his trust and loyalty. “Dear Sam, It is difficult to express adequately in a letter how deeply I appreciated your fi ne gesture of confidence and loyalty in joining in last Saturday’s statement in my behalf. As you can imagine, I have received a considerable volume of telegrams and letters during the past week. But nothing could mean quite so much as the expression of continuing support from those I know best --- my friends and colleagues with whom I served in the House of Representatives.
