Denis Roche (1868-1951) was a French writer and translator. He translated into French works by Chekhov, Shmelev, Nabokov and many others. He was engaged in popularization of the Russian art in France, was familiar with many outstanding figures of an epoch (Grabar, Roerich, Tenisheva, etc.).
