The workshop was founded by Pavel Sazikov in 1793. In 1810, it was already called the "factory". Pavel's son Ignatius (1796 - 1868) opened a branch in St. Petersburg in 1842. In 1846, he received the status of supplier of the Imperial court and the right to use the image of a double-headed eagle to the brand of his company. Winner of various awards at international and Russian exhibitions. Sazikov's company is considered the founder of the Russian style in jewelry.
