Wood, gesso ground, gold leaf, tempera. Size 31,4 X 27 cm. Among the people, the image of the Burning Bush was honored as protecting homes from fires. The Icon's edges feature images of the old Testament prototypes of the Mother of God: "The Moses’s vision of the Burning Bush, “The Isaiah’s vision of Seraphim with a burning coal in tongs", "The Ezekiel’s vision of closed gates", "The Tree of Isai " and "The Jacob's ladder". Condition: the brass frame matched to the icon. Fragmentary tinting.
