The cover partially detached from the block. The book contaiens the pasted typewritten page with the gift inscription of the author, addressed to the widow of captain F. G. Turkin, who served in the Kornilov regiment. The military chronicle is one of the fi rst evidence of the most famous and longest-lived volunteer part of the Russian army. From the author’s Preface: ‘The main purpose of the publication is to preserve for future generations the memory of love of the soldiers of the Kornilov regiment to their Homeland - national RUSSIA, commemorate their sacrifi ces in the battles against the alien power of the dictatorship of international Bolshevism led by Lenin - agent of hostile Germany’. Provenance: Archive of V. Shchavinsky. Shchavinsky Vadim Vsevolodovich (1896-1976) was a nobleman, son of a General. In autumn 1925 served in the Markov art division in France. In exile in Paris. Since 1934 commander of the Markov artillery brigade, member of the Board of the Gallipoli Society. Обложка частично отходит от блока. В начале блока вклеен машинописный лист с дарственной надписью автора, адресванной вдове капитана Ф.Г. Туркина, служившего в Корниловском полку. Боевая летопись одной из первых, самой знаменитой и наиболее долго просуществовавшей добровольческой части русской армии. Из предисловия автора: «Основной целью издания материалов является оставить грядущим поколениям память о любви чинов Корниловского полка к своей Родине - национальной РОССИИ - в проявленной ими жертве в боях с чуждой нам властью диктатуры интернационального большевизма, агента враждебной нам тогда Германии, Ленина». Провенанс: Архив В. Щавинского. Щавинский Вадим Всеволодович (1896-1976) - дворянин, сын генерала. Осенью 1925 г. в составе Марковского артдивизиона во Франции. В эмиграции в Париже, с 1934 г. командир Марковской артиллерийской бригады, член правления Общества Галлиполийцев. С 1964 г. начальник 1-го отдела РОВС и 2-й заместитель начальника РОВС, председатель Общества Галлиполийцев
