Sunday 5/17th of January, 1869 at 10:30am. 4 pp. bi-leaflet in-8, crowned coin stamped in the corner. Passionate letter from the Tsar to his dear Katia, talking about their “bingerles”. At 11pm. Your husband feels all impregnated by our delicious night and our wild bingerles which we once again enjoyed up to delirium. [passage in Russian]. My adorable little woman was tonight, a real d* (...) I appeared at tea time with all the children, like nothing ever happened and went back home, to get back to work; I am now coming back from a sleigh ride, while passing by your windows which were already dark. I just gave myself the satisfaction to reread your dear letter from this morning; all of those sweet words went, as usual, straight to my heat, overflowing it with our delightful sun. (...) Alexandre a reçu avec passion la lettre de Katia et exprime tous ses sentiments ; ajoutant : Je ne puis te cacher que ta d*** éprouve une râge sans pareille de se retrouver dans sa p*** et je prévois que nous n’aurons pas la force de rester sage ce soir. Il reprend sa lettre en fin d’après-midi. Après un passage en russe, il raconte sa promenade avec sa fille, par un froid que j’ai trouvé très sensible, et rentre d’une visite de convenance. Je veux me reposer jusqu’au dîner pour voler ensuite dans tes bras. A 11 1⁄2 h du soir.
