Russian pistol with a capsule lock based on the sample of the rst half of the XIX century, remake of a hussar pistol with a int lock of the sample of the 1790s.
Overall length - 38 cm;barrel - 22 cm; caliber - 1.5 cm.
The pistol consists of a stock, a barrel, a cap shock lock and a brass instrument. A pistol bed made of brown wood (birch, walnut) with a steel ramrod. The trigger guard is brass, gured in the upper part, fastened with a screw. The lower part of the trigger guard is xed in the box with a screw in a brass oval plate with a monogram of Russian Emperor Paul I - “P I” under the Imperial crown. The trigger is xed on the axis (transverse pin). There is a stamp of the Tula Arms Plant and the year of issue «Tula 1797». As an aiming device, the gun is equipped with a brass front sight of a rounded shape and entirely in the form of a slot in the stem of the barrel. In addition to the name of the manufacturer and the year of manufacture, there are other markings on the weapon as well as technological stamps: on the trigger guard in the upper and lower parts - “IC” in a rectangle; on the back plate - «IS» in a rectangle; on the handle - the monogram of Emperor Paul I under the imperial crown on a brass oval plate.
