Sabre (broadsword) French of cer, dragoon sample of 1784, with a German blade. Overall length - 114.2 cm; blade length - 93.1 cm; blade width at the heel - 3.3 cm. The steel blade is single-edged, with one wide fuller. On the spine, the manufacturer’s inscription: “Freres Weyersberg Solingen”. The blade on both sides of the heel is deco- rated with bluing, with gilded engraved inscriptions in ve lines above and below the image of military trophies. The hilt consists of a handle and brass guard. The handle is covered with leather and wrapped in grooves alternating rows of single and twisted copper wire. At the top of the handle is a faceted brass bushing, on top of it is a at octahedral head. The leather sheath is black, with a brass device, consisting of an mouth with a ring, clamps with a ring and a tip with a shoe. France, the period of the 1st Empire (1804-1814), blade, England.
