Hermitage Fine Art will auction on 5th of July at Hotel Monte-Carlo numerous Impressionist and Modern European artworks of some of the greatest masters of painting like Gustave LOISEAU (1865-1935), Jacques-Emile BLANCHE (1861–1942), CLAUDE VENARD (1913-1999), and Joan MIRÓ (1893 - 1983).
Within the top lots are:
an elegant portrait of a Lady in Black, 1890, by Jacques-Emile BLANCHE (1861–1942) (lot 12: 300 000 - 350 000€), French painter well-known for his successful portraits.
Two beautiful scenes painted and signed by Gustav Loiseau (1865-1935): Le Pont suspendu de Triel-sur-Seine, 1915
(lot.7: 150 000 - 200 000€), La Cathédrale d'Auxerre, 1907
(lot 5: 10 000 - 15 000€). Loiseau was a French Post-Impressionist painter remembered for his landscapes and Parisian streets scenes. His use of the technique known as en treillis
or cross-hatching gives his work a special signature.
Claude Venard, who is presenting two colorful and authentic oil on canvas, one of them being La Locomotive,
signed 'C. Venard' on the lower right, coming from a private collection in the United States and estimated between 20,000 and 30,000€ (lot. 29). Arnaldo Ferrugatti (1862-1925) with his Dancers in the dressing room
